Courses & Registration

All coursework is asynchronous. Students independently access lessons, complete assignments, and manage their time throughout the week. Assignments are posted every Monday morning, with all work due by Sunday night.

Every course is built by Edina educators and aligned with the same high academic standards used at Edina High School. Students receive personalized support from teachers and staff through live classes, one-on-one check-ins, email communication, and optional tutoring services.

Registering for online courses begins with a one-on-one welcome meeting between the student and their counselor. During this meeting, we’ll work together to create a personalized course schedule that aligns with graduation requirements and supports the student’s goals and interests. Our team is happy to meet with families either in person or virtually to walk through course options during registration.

EVP students take six classes or more per semester as they work toward the 44 credits required for graduation from Edina Public Schools. All coursework is accessed through Schoology, our learning management system, where students view lessons, submit assignments, and monitor their progress.

Alongside their virtual classes, students may also have the opportunity to earn college credit through Minnesota’s Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program or gain high school credit while working a part-time job through our Work-Based Study program.
